FLOW CONTROL AND
BALL VALVES
(FLOW CONTROL AND BALL VALVES)
MAXIMUM SAFETY
AND RELIABILITY
For 60 years in Sprockhövel, and since 1999 at a second facility in Hattingen, Böhmer has been manufacturing ball valves that set the benchmark for quality and operational safety.
Originally producing safety shut-off valves for the mining sector, Böhmer built on that product's success and continuous R&D to expand its portfolio to include oil, gas, hot water, and steam processes.
Böhmer manufactures ball valves suitable for virtually every application in sizes from DN 3 to DN 1400 (1/8" to 56") and pressure ratings up to 500 bar (Class 2500).
With Böhmer products, we set the standard worldwide. Even in the most fundamental design parameters and the smallest diameters, Böhmer has been a reference point across the globe for over half a century.
Böhmer's fully welded ball valves have been reliably used in high-pressure long-distance pipelines for decades. Delivering uninterrupted performance under high pressure and variable flow conditions, these valves are the preferred reference product in natural gas transmission lines, crude oil pipeline systems, and critical fluid transport infrastructure.
Böhmer district heating and steam valves are designed for a minimum of 30 years of maintenance-free underground installation. Operating across a wide range of applications — from underground central heating systems to transmission stations — these valves are actively used in Europe's largest district heating projects, featuring materials resistant to all climate conditions and leak-proof sealing systems.
Böhmer valves play a decisive role at the critical flow control points of thermal, nuclear, hydro, and renewable energy plants. Delivering long-lasting and reliable performance under the high temperatures and pressures of power plant processes, Böhmer provides comprehensive technical support from the construction phase through commissioning.
Valves used in underground gas storage facilities must withstand extremely demanding conditions — high cycle counts, variable pressure profiles, and sub-zero operating temperatures chief among them. Böhmer's gas storage solutions meet ISO and API standard requirements with low-leakage sealing systems, guaranteeing both safety and operational efficiency.
Standard valves may not be sufficient for systems transporting oxygen, hydrogen, chlorine, and other specialty industrial gases. Böhmer offers valve series manufactured with special attention to material compatibility and cleanliness specifications for these applications.
Valves used in onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities must withstand saltwater corrosion, high mechanical loads, and extreme climate conditions. Böhmer's onshore and offshore valve series are available with NACE, DNV, and Lloyd's Register-approved material certifications.
Refinery processes handle petroleum products, crude oil, and various chemical fluids at extremely high temperatures and pressures. Böhmer's refinery valves deliver long-term reliability in these demanding operating conditions, with corrosion-resistant alloy options and API 6D certification.
Böhmer's hydraulic and pneumatic actuator-integrated valve systems offer comprehensive solutions for automated flow control, remote operation, and process optimization.
Fully Welded Valves
Safety at Every Point
Ball valves are exposed to extreme loads and variable pressures. Böhmer products are therefore engineered to resist micro-crack corrosion and material degradation, welded with full penetration throughout the entire valve cross-section — flawlessly and without fusion defects.
Every product undergoes visual, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, and radiographic testing before entering service. Verified by independent testing bodies, this process guarantees permanent operational safety.
SPLIT-BODY VALVES
Specialists in the Most Demanding Media
Split-body ball valves up to 56-inch nominal diameter are an integral part of the Böhmer product range.
In this design, ball valves are particularly suitable for highly abrasive and corrosive fluids.
Two-piece or three-piece ball valves are designed so that components or closure assemblies can be easily replaced.
DISTRICT HEATING AND STEAM VALVES
Performance from Start to Finish
Böhmer district heating and steam valves are designed for process safety, resilience across all climate conditions, and a minimum of 30 years of maintenance-free underground service.
They deliver exceptional reliability across a wide range of applications — from underground central heating systems and transmission stations to in-facility piping.
